Since joining Phase1, my mental and emotional health has gone from not knowing how I was going to make it through the day to thriving, finding joy, and mental clarity. As a bonus I’ve become a heck of a lot stronger physically! I can climb multiple flights of stairs without having to stop and catch my breath.
My trainer inspires me daily with her own journey, holds me accountable to show up via “are you coming today?” texts and pushes me beyond my comfort zone which has accelerated my progress. Fun fact…I love deadlifts! A few things I love about Phase1 is that every workout is different and every workout challenges me in a different way. I love working through a hard movement where when my mind wants to quit, I push through with encouragement from my trainer and other clients and finish strong!
Working out with Phase1 is one of the best ways I take care of myself. I would encourage anyone who struggles mentally and emotionally to join. Phase1 is a family that truly cares, they reach out when you don’t show up. They modify movements if needed. They will make the workout work for YOU! I wish I would have joined sooner. I didn’t realize how much better my quality of life would be!

Since joining Phase1, I’ve experienced remarkable changes both physically and mentally. One of my biggest accomplishments has been losing twenty pounds and maintaining a consistent BMI through a healthy lifestyle. The trainers at Phase1 play a huge role in this journey, making each workout not only effective but genuinely enjoyable. Their enthusiasm and dedication challenge us to push beyond our limits while always keeping our personal goals in mind.
The workouts at Phase1 aren’t just about physical transformation; they also build mental resilience. There’s an incredible sense of confidence that comes from knowing the consistent effort not only keeps me physically strong but also sharpens my mindset. I never anticipated just how much working out could positively impact my mood and overall outlook on life. If I could give one piece of advice to someone seeking similar changes, it would be to try Phase1 – it’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to showing up and see real results.
My journey hasn’t been without challenges. I’ve faced significant physical setbacks – including being struck by a semi-truck and, on another occasion, hit by a box truck while searching for a missing teen. Despite these traumatic events, the strength I’ve gained through the Phase1 programs has been a cornerstone of my recovery. Through it all, Phase1 has been there, including during one of the most challenging times in my life – supporting me as I stood by my husband’s side during his battle with pancreatic cancer. The sense of community and unwavering encouragement from Phase1 has kept me strong in more ways than one, and for that, I am truly grateful.
There’s no going back now – Phase1 is an essential part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine my wellness journey without it.

I walked into this gym on Day One not really knowing what to expect—just knowing I wanted to feel better in my body. I was tired of starting over, tired of feeling stuck, and honestly… tired of not feeling strong.
Fast forward to today—I’ve dropped over 20% body fat, built real muscle, and gained a kind of confidence I didn’t know I was missing. But it’s not just about how I look. It’s about how I show up in my life now—with more energy, more strength, and a mindset that doesn’t quit.
What makes this place different is the people. The coaching. The environment. I’ve never felt judged—only supported and pushed to become the best version of myself. This isn’t a quick fix. It’s been a process of learning, unlearning, and showing up again and again. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Since joining Phase1 I’ve lost 20 lbs while adding strength and stamina to help me in all athletic areas. The trainers are great at pushing me to work hard, pushing me pass my limits, and helping me achieve my goals every time I come in. I love being able to just show up and put in the work without thinking of exercises to do or planning out a workout in advance. Just show up and grind!
My advice for anyone wanting to join Phase1 is to give full effort every time you come in. If you work hard when you’re here, you will see results. Each day, the workouts force you to work on all areas of your body to get a complete workout in. I wish I would have known about Phase1 sooner!

I'm SO MUCH stronger!! When I went snow skiing in the spring, my thighs didn’t burn at all! Thank you 30lb sandbag squats!! I can also carry 40lbs of salt from my garage to my pool with 1 arm, without putting it down, instead of asking my husband to carry it for me!
The trainers are one of my favorite things about Phase1. Their energy, laughter and encouragement are unmatched. They remember my limits and then push me past them with "just the right amount of struggle!" They never make me feel bad or weak when something is too hard and they never treat me like an old lady, even if I am almost twice their age. Coach G and Kylea are truly gifts in my life! I'm so thankful for them both!!!
Some other reasons I love Phase1 is I get to workout with my girlfriends and not a gym full of strangers. Working out with the community Phase1 has built, helps me feel in control when life can feel so out of control. Leaving Phase1 with the feeling of accomplishment and finally knowing my “aging” body is way more capable than I ever imagined.
If I could tell anyone who is interested in joining Phase1, anything, it would be to believe in yourself and just try it… you'll be so glad you did!

One of my favorite things about Phase1 is the consistent support I receive every time I walk through the doors. Whether it’s encouragement during a workout or a quick form check, I always feel like someone has my back.
My biggest win since joining has been being able to work out consistently without the fear of re-injuring myself. That’s something I didn’t think was possible before, and it’s made a huge difference in both my confidence and progress.
The trainers at Phase1 are truly unmatched. They genuinely care about my form and function, making sure I stay within my limits while still challenging me to give my best effort. Their guidance helps me feel strong, safe, and capable.
I also love the group setting—there’s energy and camaraderie, but it still feels personal, like I have my own coach every time. Plus, with so many time slots available, it’s easy to stay consistent even with a busy schedule.

I love Phase1 because it has helped me build strength and stability. I love the smaller class sizes and my awesome community group of friends who are always there, cheering and supporting each other through our journeys.
Each morning when my alarm goes off, I think, “Ugh, I want to go back to sleep…” — but knowing I’ll see the 6 AM crew, get a great workout in, and stay accountable to them and myself is what gets me out of bed.
I like Phase1 because it’s not intimidating. It caters to all stages of life, and every workout can be adjusted to meet individual needs.
I love my trainer because she checks in with you. She makes you accountable — if you’re not there, she wants to know why, and she wants you back. During a session, she checks in to make sure all the right muscles are firing, and she’s so consistent — always on time, always shows up, and always communicates with her people. I love that. We’re not just a number — we’re her people.
My biggest win? I’m stronger. I’ve gained confidence in doing workouts that used to intimidate me. They don’t scare me anymore. I can cycle better, hike longer, and I feel great! The workouts are still challenging and keep me getting better. I love Phase1!
BHREE BARRETT
When I first joined Phase1, my goal was simple: to lose weight. I had already started walking daily around my neighborhood, but my progress had plateaued. I hoped that adding strength training would help jumpstart my results. However, due to ongoing health issues—most notably arthritis—I needed something low impact.
Phase1 daily workouts not only vary in format but can also be modified to meet me exactly where I am, both physically and mentally. Since starting, I’ve seen a decrease in body fat, an increase in muscle mass, and improvements in my strength, balance, range of motion, and endurance. Beyond the physical changes, my self-confidence and mental health have also grown tremendously.
These workouts have become my time to focus, reset, and do something just for myself. I’m incredibly grateful for the coaches who invest in me, check in when I’m not consistent, and continually encourage me to give my best. More than anything, I’m thankful to be part of a supportive community of coaches and friends at Phase1.
STEPHANIE ROBINSON
Seeing my strength increase over time and hitting a 95lbs deadlift for 6 reps are two of my biggest wins since joining Phase1.
Our trainers go above and beyond, I love how encouraging they are, pushing me to do more than I ever thought I could but also helping me modify exercises for any issues I’m having so I don’t hurt myself.
At Phase1 I enjoy working out with my friends, and the sense of community we have with our trainers and others I have met since joining. I wish I would’ve had the confidence to try something like this sooner, my biggest piece of advice would be to just do it, the first step is the hardest!
KRISTI MAYFIELD
My favorite thing about being part of Phase1 is that I’m stronger and healthier than I’ve ever been. I’m doing things I never thought I could. Last summer, I carried my 1.5-year-old granddaughter up a long hill and across a parking lot—and I wasn’t even sore the next day. That moment really showed me how far I’ve come.
I genuinely love working out here. The workouts are tough, but they’re also fun—especially when you’re training alongside friends and coaches who truly care. I mostly train with Kylea, and she’s amazing. She knows how to challenge you while still being encouraging and kind. Traci is just as wonderful—both of them bring great energy to every session and are always thoughtful about modifying when needed. Coach G pops in now and then too, and it’s always a great session.
Another thing I love is the size of Phase1. I’ve tried larger gyms before, and they just weren’t for me. This space feels welcoming, supportive, and personal. Joining Phase1 has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and happiness.
TRACI LEWIS
I have been with Phase1 since the day they opened their doors. My biggest win thus far is getting my visceral fat down in the healthy range. My favorite thing about our trainers is that they personalize the workouts to your strengths and work around your weaknesses. The workouts are set for you, it allows me to show up without thinking or having to plan it. As a full time homeschooling Mom, that’s HUGE!
I have always been into “fitness,” one thing Phase1 has helped me the most with is focusing on the right things! I am no longer worried about the weight number shown on the scale, instead focusing on losing body fat and visceral fat, gaining muscle, and the rest will follow.
My advice to anyone joining Phase1 is to be patient, be consistent, listen to your trainers, and trust the process. Change takes time.
